Screen layout and button functions
All functions of the PAYPOINT till software work in the same way whether you are using the IBM till or the TOSHIBA TEC till.
First thing in a morning, the till will have a blank blue screen with the red PAYPOINT icon displayed. When this is tapped twice, the till software will load up. (If you have the Ocius card machine installed, this software will also load up at this point).
Once the PAYPOINT has loaded up, this is the screen you will use on a daily basis.
The Function Keys are on the left hand side. The Running total is in the top right hand corner and in the middle are the sale details. At the bottom are “Quick Keys” for items with poor or no barcode and frequently sold items. To save space on the till screen some of the buttons have more than one function. Listed below is a quick guide to each one.
